First gas marks major milestone for Beetaloo and the Territory

First gas from the Shenandoah South Pilot Project is now flowing into the Northern Territory gas network, an important milestone for the Beetaloo and for the Territory.

DMBG congratulates Tamboran Resources Corporation, a DMBG member, and all those who have helped bring the project to this point, including project partners, Native Title Holders, contractors, workers and government agencies.

The focus must now be on turning first gas into lasting Territory benefit.

That means being ready with the infrastructure, workforce, housing, services and local supply chains needed for the next stages of development, and ensuring Territory businesses and communities can participate in the opportunities created.

First gas is an important beginning. What happens next will determine the scale of the benefit for the Territory.
