Positioning the Territory for Strategic Investment
The Darwin Investment Summit 2025 was an invite-only event delivered in partnership between the Darwin Major Business Group (DMBG) and the Northern Territory Government.
Held in Darwin from 15–17 July 2025, the Summit brought together investors, business leaders, government decision makers, peak bodies and stakeholders from partner nations to showcase the Territory as investment-ready and open for business.
The program was designed to give delegates direct visibility of projects of economic significance and build momentum for investment outcomes in Northern Australia.
DMBG’s Role
DMBG worked alongside government and industry partners to shape and support the Summit’s strategic focus.
This included helping connect project proponents with investors, supporting investment attraction activity, and reinforcing the Territory’s position in national and international conversations about economic growth, energy security and regional resilience.

The Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF) is the Commonwealth Government's $7 billion financing agency to support infrastructure development that generates public benefit for northern Australia.
NAIF's mandate focuses on projects that deliver public benefit, Indigenous outcomes and contribute to the sustainable growth of the region. NAIF has committed $4.4 billion in loans across the north to projects ranging from large-scale resource and energy developments to social infrastructure, including universities, to airport upgrades, agriculture, and aquaculture developments. NAIF supported projects are forecast to deliver substantial public benefit and Indigenous outcomes for the region.
