Connecting the Territory to the Nation
Facing North was a strategic engagement initiative delivered in partnership between the Darwin Major Business Group (DMBG) and the Northern Territory Government.
Held in Canberra, it showcased the Northern Territory as a diverse, investment-ready economy and creates opportunities for Territory business leaders to connect directly with Federal Parliamentarians and key national decision makers.
Facing North was designed to strengthen relationships and elevate the Territory’s role in Australia’s resilience, growth and prosperity.
DMBG’s Role
DMBG supported the initiative by convening industry, contributing to program direction, and facilitating meaningful connections that supported long-term economic outcomes for the Territory.
Facing North 2023
Facing North was last held in Canberra in August 2023. Facing North has been a collaborative arrangement between the Darwin Major Business Group and the NT Government and designed to showcase the Territory as a diverse economy with real investment opportunities.
Facing North has a history of bringing together NT businesses and industry representatives to meet with Federal Parliamentarians and key government and industry decision makers to forge key relationships for the future business and economic benefit of the Territory.
