Mick Burns has built and led successful businesses across the Northern Territory for more than four decades. He began his career developing, owning and operating hotels throughout the Territory and remains deeply connected to the hospitality sector.

Since 2000, Mick has been actively involved in the crocodile industry, owning, developing and managing crocodile farms. He has played a significant role in growing the industry from a small cottage sector into one that now makes a meaningful contribution to the Northern Territory economy, with a current focus on regionalising opportunities for remote communities.

In 2009, Mick co-developed Crocosaurus Cove with business partner Doug Gamble, strengthening the Territory’s tourism offering.

Mick has served on industry boards for over 25 years, including as NT President and National Board member of the Australian Hotels Association (now Hospitality NT). He is a life member of HNT and the AHA nationally and continues as Chair of the local crocodile farming industry.
